What is WordPress?
WordPress is a free, open-source, website creation and Content Management System (CMS) where you can build and customize a website, blog, or app.
Do I have to learn to code or be tech-savvy?
No. WordPress is built on just over 35,000 lines of code and surrounded by a billion-plus line of code, so users do not have to become code writers to make high-functioning websites that look terrific. WordPress, theme writers, and designers, along with plugin developers, have done all the work for you–with always more and better things to come.
As for having to be tech-savvy, WordPress is not much more complicated than Microsoft Word or any other standard software. However, like any new computer software tool, it takes time to learn what does what and where things are. Becoming fluid in making WordPress-based websites is a matter of repetition. Getting a website up and running quickly is greatly enhanced when watching instructional videos like the ones produced here at WpProfession. Our goal is to help you get projects accomplished quicker and more accessible, with a higher degree of enjoyment.
Making things more manageable, page builders such as Elementor, Divi, and Beaver Builder provides for everything drag-and-drop and point-and-click. There are many other CMS platforms on the market; however, WordPress is the clear winner for ease-of-use, customizability, not requiring coding, and full ownership.
